Welcome to the 2008 Exterior Design Awards, from ChimneyPot.com
We’re looking for beautiful homes and buildings that feature terra cotta chimney pots, and when we find the best, we’ll feature it in a national publication, along with the company or homeowner who submitted it. Entry and voting are free. You can only vote once, but you may enter as many different projects as you like.
Contest Details:
- There is no cost to enter.
- The winner will be determined based on a tally of all votes cast by June
15, 2008.
- All projects must feature, and clearly show, terra cotta (clay) chimney pots. Any terra cotta chimney pots are welcome, regardless of where they were purchased. It is not necessary for the chimney pots in your project to have been purchased through ChimneyPot.com

- You may enter as many different projects as you like. If you would like to enter more than one project, please submit each entry separately.
- All entries will be posted on our website for a public vote until June 15.
- One vote will be allowed per email address.
- To enter, please use the link below to send us the following information. If you do not want your name to appear online, please indicate that in your email.
- Your Name
- Your title and company name (if applicable)
- Project Title
- A brief description (25-30 words) describing the project. We may edit your description for length or clarity.
- Your email address and telephone number (these will NOT be posted online. They are for contact purposes only, so that we may reach you if we have a question.)
Once we receive your entry, we will email you to request up to three photographs of your project. Preferred formats are jpg, gif, or tif. If possible, please include one whole-house/project shot that includes the chimney pots, as well as one or two detail (close up) shots that clearly show the installed chimney pots.
- Projects will be posted, and voting will begin, on April 15. While projects may continue to be added after that date, we recommend
submitting your project prior to April 1 so that it will be available for voters for the full duration of the contest.
- You must have rights to any project images you send us. Please do not send us someone else’s imagery without obtaining proper permission. We cannot assume responsibility for images that are sent to us inappropriately.
- We reserve the right not to post any entries that we deem inappropriate.
- By entering, you agree that we may post your photo(s) on our website both during and after the completion of the contest. We will contact you for written permission before using your photos in any other way.
- If your project is selected as the winner, we will ask you to provide us with one or more high-resolution images of your project (minimum 300 dpi at 4x5 inches) and additional information
about you or your business (if applicable to the project). However, it is not necessary to have high resolution images to enter. Web resolutions photos (72 dpi or more) are just fine. If you do not have digital imagery, you may also mail photos.
- In order to enter a project, you must read and agree to the terms of entry below.

I understand that by submitting my entry for the 2008 Exterior Design Awards by ChimneyPot.com, I am giving ChimneyPot.com permission to post my photographs, name/company name, project title and project description online. I also understand that ChimneyPot.com will retain the right to use my photographs in their online photo gallery on an ongoing basis after the contest has ended, but will not use my photographs for any other purpose without prior written permission from me. ChimneyPot.com will include a photo
credit for ongoing use after the contest.
